From Journalism and Photography to Educational Puzzles
Welcome to Print Your Puzzles. My name is Victor Puig, and I am the creator and editor of every resource you find here. Based in Barcelona, my journey into the world of educational puzzles is rooted in a lifelong career in media and visual storytelling.
Before launching this project, I spent years working as a journalist and professional photographer here in Barcelona. You can see my visual work and professional portfolio at victorpuig.com.
Why a Journalist Creates Word Searches
In journalism, accuracy and context are everything. When I began exploring word search puzzles, I was disappointed to find they were often just empty lists of words without meaning. I decided to apply my editorial background to change that.
At Print Your Puzzles, my mission is to merge the “fun” of a classic puzzle with the “depth” of a journalist’s research. This is why:
. Every word has a story: I don’t just list terms; I provide a detailed 20–30 word definition for every one of the 24 words to find in each puzzle. This ensures that every activity is a comprehensive tool for learning, not just a game of finding letters.
. Deep Context & Discovery: Beyond the word list, every topic includes 5 curated FAQs and 5 “Did You Know?” facts to provide a 360-degree view of the subject matter.
. Curated Research: I personally research every theme—from US History to Science—ensuring the information is accurate, up-to-date, and educationally valuable.
Designed for Enthusiasts: I study and curate every grid to ensure it is genuinely interesting to solve. I aim for a high standard of craftsmanship so that enthusiasts find the selection of terms intentional, cohesive, and intellectually rewarding.
. Barcelona-Based Quality: Every design is crafted with the same attention to detail and visual hierarchy I used in my professional photography and editorial layouts.
Connect With Me
I believe that the internet is better when you know who is behind the curtain. You can find my professional career path and connect with me directly on my LinkedIn profile, follow my updates on Twitter/X, or contact me at contact@printyourpuzzles.com
I am committed to providing high-quality, human-curated printables. If you are a teacher or a parent and have a suggestion for a new topic, please reach out!
Yes, that’s me! A serious, Barcelona-based journalist and photographer.
But this is what my brain actually feels like when I’m running Print Your Puzzles:
Look closely at the cartoon office. Notice that I am the panda in the polo shirt 🐼, sitting at the front workstation, smiling and typing away.
Why a Panda?
. The Editor: I’m finalizing the 24 definitions, 5 FAQs, and 5 “Did You Knows” for the next puzzle.
. The Lead: The giraffe, koala, and penguins aren’t AI bots—they are my meticulously curated imaginary research assistants who ensure every fact is double-checked.
. The Personality: If a puzzle isn’t fun to create, it won’t be fun to solve.
You might see a serious journalist on LinkedIn, but when I’m crafting educational resources, I’m at that desk, surrounded by my creative team, making sure every printable that leaves my desk is a masterclass in curiosity.
My goal is to combine education with relaxation, honoring the timeless joy of solving puzzles. Whether you’re discovering a topic for the first time, refreshing your memory, or simply enjoying a moment of tranquility, my vision is to be your trusted source where leisure and learning merge.
Based in beautiful Barcelona, Print Your Puzzles was created specifically with the U.S. audience in mind. Every puzzle you see here is a solo labor of love; I personally oversee every definition and design to ensure it meets my editorial standards. My mission is to bring a unique, human touch to the educational puzzles you love to solve at home.
