FAQ

What’s the difference between a Medium Word Search puzzle and a Hard Word Search puzzle?

Both versions include the same 24 words to find, but the difficulty changes based on grid size, number of diagonal words, and how tightly the words are placed.

Medium puzzle: 18×18 grid with 7 to 9 Diagonal words.

Hard puzzle: 20×20 grid with 12 to 14 Diagonal words, and the words are placed closer together with more overlap.

Do the word searches include words written backwards?

Yes. In both Medium and Hard puzzles, some words may appear backwards horizontally, vertically, and diagonally.

I’m a teacher. Can I distribute these word searches for educational purposes?

Absolutely, that would be a dream come true for us!

You’re welcome to make copies for your students. We include keyword definitions, FAQs, and “Did You Know?” sections to help readers better understand each topic. If you use our puzzles in the classroom, we’re truly honored.

How do I download the word search puzzles?

Simply click “Print Puzzle” or “Download Solution” button to save the PDF to your device.

How do I print the puzzles correctly?

All PDFs are formatted for US Letter (8.5×11 inches) and A4 sizes. You can print them at home or at any print shop.

Do I need special software to open the puzzles?

No special software needed — any standard PDF reader works, such as Adobe Acrobat or Preview (Mac).

Why do you include extra content in each word search?

As you know, on Print Your Puzzles, every word search is designed to be more than just a fun activity. Each puzzle includes definitions for all 24 words, giving readers the chance to understand the meaning and context behind the terms they’re searching for.

To make the experience even richer, every puzzle also features an FAQ section with five useful questions and answers, as well as a “Did You Know?” section with five interesting facts related to the topic. These simple additions are designed to turn a simple puzzle into a small but rewarding learning experience.

We include all of this because we believe a word search can do more than fill a few minutes, it can spark curiosity. Our goal is simple: if someone completes one of our puzzles and discovers something new along the way, then we’ve succeeded. Each puzzle becomes a moment of enjoyment and learning, and that combination is at the heart of what we do at Print Your Puzzles.
